I'm Omar, a Computer Science & AI student at Sadat Academy for Management Sciences, specializing in NLP and machine learning systems. I build things end-to-end — from designing the architecture to shipping a working product. My approach is to go deeper than the baseline. When building an Alzheimer's risk prediction model, I wasn't satisfied with off-the-shelf features — I engineered novel composite risk indices using logistic regression weights to better capture disease patterns. When detecting fake news, I didn't stop at TF-IDF; I diagnosed dataset leakage, removed source artifacts, and integrated a fine-tuned DistilBERT pipeline for real-world generalization. I'm comfortable working independently and in teams — I've led research projects, contributed to academic papers, and shipped full-stack applications. I move between domains (NLP, CV, robotics, medical ML) because I follow the problem, not the hype. Currently looking for opportunities — local or remote — where I can contribute to NLP and LLM-driven products from day one.
